The Portland Timbers spoiled a special day for the Seattle Sounders, defeating them 3-0 on the road after Seattle unveiled their CONCACAF championship banner. A first half goal from Jaroslaw Niezgoda gave Portland the 1-0 lead. Then Seattle center back Jackson Ragen was sent off on a second yellow card in the 46th minute. Portland capitalized with the extra man with goals in the 82nd and 85th minutes to secure the victory.
